Becoming a Resident
The Care Center works by separating a person from the bad situation so that they have the time and energy to learn to reorient their priorities, keep a job, and manage money.
At The Care Center, we have 30 years of experience helping residents progress toward independence. We have a good reputation with local agencies. We work on a foundation of structure and respect.
As a referring agency, we want you to have confidence in the referral you make to your clients. At The Care Center, we are first and foremost Christ-Centered. The love of God motivates our every action and decision.
When a potential resident seeks to stay, we first perform a person to person interview where we will want to know what has caused them to become homeless. We do not accept anyone who is homeless by choice. After they are accepted, we create an individualized plan and they will sign a progress contract. This progress will be reviewed monthly by The Care Center staff and the resident will also be helped with financial accountability. There is no cost to the resident.
This program is funded in part or whole by the State of Tennessee Department of Mental Health and
Substance Abuse Service.
